Next up- Ive created a layout using a Russian Doll……………
Miss Mardi has created this gorgeous layout using a new flower that will be added to the range- hope you like them! they will retail for $1.50 each
I asked the uber talented miss Helen Karanfilovski to contribute to this showcase- here are her layouts

and Helens second layout features the new flowers too- white with a stone centre………beautiful work- thanks Helen

WHOO HOO!!!!
July 18, 2008 at 1:49 pm | In new products | 2 CommentsA little project that has been floating around in my head for some time has come to life
i would like to (FINALLY) introduce my NEW PRODUCTs!!!!!
what makes these so exciting for me, is that they have been created from scratch- in the past i have used pre made moulds or biscuit cutters to create my embellishments- so this has now opened a brand new door for me to explore…….
Check out the sidebar for
Arrows
Beep Beep cars
Birds
Butterflies
Cupcakes
Handbags
Houses (these are the same design- just bigger for the old price!)
Russian Dolls
Toadstools
In each category you will see a couple of examples followed by a colour chart for the options that the embellishment can be painted in.
Dont forget, that Crafty Matters Ceramic Embellishments have been designed specifically to be further embellished and personalized by you at home to create a one off piece for your page- I limit the amount of decoration so that you can add your own bling, glitter, pen or stamping.
Of course, they look great added straight to a page, as is, when youre after a fast, easy accent.
The choice is yours
I hope you like my new range, as i mentioned earlier, a new door has opened for me in terms of shapes, so stay tuned for even more new product in the future
Also stay tuned for some gorgeous layouts featuring these new embellishments by the very talented CMC girls
and of course, if you would like to order anything on this website, please email me at
craftymatters@iprimus.com.au
cheers

June Show and Tell -Its our Birthday
June 4, 2008 at 9:49 pm | In Uncategorized | 4 CommentsWOW!
It has been an eventful 1st year at Crafty Matters with the advent of this blog a year ago, I have seen my little embellishments grace the pages of many magazines, blogs and websites. they have been sold in shops (bricks and mortar and online) and used in kits by Kim Archer @ Home and Funkstreet Designs
I have had the most wonderful, professional team of girls supporting me - Mardi, Charm, Lou and Vita- and until recently Katie- have provided so much inspiration each month for the Show and Tells, they have inspired me as well as everyone else who visits this blog.
So, what do we have for you this month- well its my birthday today- so the theme is Celebration
Charmane has used a little wink emoticon on this layout to set the mood of the theme. very effective!
Vita has created this gorgeous mini book- heres the details
Vita used the star bisque & scallop bisque.
The stars were covered with kindy glitz (teal & crystalina).
The scallop bisque were used layered with Love Elsie epoxy stickers. (doesnt that look good!)
Lou has used the Ceramic stars to great effect- they really suit the theme and i love how mounting them on circles highlights them even more.
and this beautiful layout from Mardi- celebrating 25 yrs years with Ian
Mardi has used a scalloped plaque and added rub ons - doesnt it fit beautifully on the layout??
and now for some more news…………
if you have ever read the ABOUT section on the blog, you will know that once upon a time I painted personalised plates
well
theyre back, so check this out, and let me know what you think
and i have a new front page to (hopefully) make Navigation a little easier- you can see that here
cheers everyone, and thanks for visiting

may 2008 show and tell
May 5, 2008 at 12:25 pm | In CMC, layouts, showcase | 2 CommentsHello and welcome to May’s Show and Tell
grab a cuppa and be inspired by the girls creations this month
there are some fabulous projects here, all relating to Mothers Day- yes its our big day on Sunday, where we get to sit back, relax and be showered with love (and gifts) …………………….
first up is Lou with a beautiful, serene layout using a small angel wing and a matching blue heart as a flower centre
Mardi is next with this great layout (and a reminder to get ourselves out in front of that camera when we can!!)
Crafty Matters bisque button painted red, and a couple of word tiles that Mardi loves to use
Heres my LO for the month- my dear darling first born arrived 10 days past her due date, so i missed mothers day by a couple of days! (and then my first ‘official’ mothers day the next year was spent in bed with a baaaad dose of gastro LOL )
Ive used Crafty Matters flowers here , in some new colours- these are gorgeous glazes called Ocean Mist, Blueberry Spice and Grape Spice. The centres are thickers dots- an idea courtesy of Belinda Venables- thanks Belinda
Charmane has created this gorgeous mini canvas- one of a set she has made - to give to her Mum, grandmas and step-mum
and a layout using a Crafty Matters heart……
Vitas project this month are seedling boxes, although they can be used as a gift box for anything, not just plants.
here is what she did-
The template is a hot-chip take-away box with the top/lid cut off. The small one fits 12×12 papers perfectly.
It’s so easy to make, she made these 3 easily.
Just wrap the pressie in a celo bag then put it into the box.
The hardest bit is actually potting the herbs.
The Crafty Matters glazed flowers have been used on the 1st box, and a bisque button and glazed leaves on the last box
The middle box has a bisque scallop plaque- the little “for you” is a print out, glued on the ceramic then glazed.
Vita made it in Photoshop and The bird is a brush by Katie Pertiet.
you could also do this using stamps as an alternative
i think i need to go and buy myself some hot chips now LOL……………….

well, thats it for another month- stay tuned for June- our birthday month-
till then
cheers
