If you havent already joined us for the Bushfire Benefit, you only have 4 more days to register! and dont worry, even if you register on the last day, you will still have plenty of time to have a look around, as the classroom will remain open for a few weeks afterwards to allow participants enough time to access the files, print out and save the pdf designs – and check out all the great samples from our design teams. When you join the class, please take a few moments to read the Bushfire story. i had special permission to recount this story from one of my fab customers- it is the story of her sister who along with hubby and 3 young girls had an amazing escape from the fires. I really thank Jo and her sister for allowing us to share it with us. So, click on the Create to RECreate banner above to come and join us-! cheers jane

Ive already done a couple of projects for the workshop, and yesterday i sat down and did another 4 layouts-

Here are 2 i can show you, to see the others, you will need to join the workshop as they are part of the Create to ReCreate gallery:)

The First layout here shows a square title  from my PDF- i have rounded the corners to tie in with Kims little journal bit, and finished off with a Crafty Matters Beep Beep Car in stone.

I was quite deeply affected by the bushfires that occurred in February this year. I knew quite a few people that were impacted by the threat to their homes, and the loss of lives and properties.

Like so many other people i want to do something  to help raise funds for the many people left without homes, businesses and a normal life. I thought a PDF containing  journal blocks and tags  that was easy to download, print out and use would give those that donate  something in return for their contribution.

To help me see this become a reality, i approached Kim Archer to help with the designing and to ‘borrow’ her fantastic  @Home classroom site to provide a place to house them .

Kim came on board immediately and expanded on my idea,  offering an area on her site to show  a collection of layouts, mini books and cards  created from the PDF’s.

Create to Recreate was born.

To create the projects we asked the girls from Kims Support Team and the girls from Crafty Matters to help out  (with Mardi doing double duty here as a member of both LOL) – and the results are stunning!

SO

To purchase the PDF’s ,  see the samples created, and to find out a bit more about this event click on the image below to take you to Kims site.

If you have never participated in one of Kims classes, its very easy to sign up in the Home section on the top toolbar. From there, go to the ‘Try This’ workshops under the WORKSHOPS banner and click on the ‘registration’ button in the Create to Recreate box.

You can pay by Paypal, credit card or Direct Deposit- once your payment is cleared, you will have access to the PDF’s and the collection of Show and Tell projects

We have also included instructions on how to download your pdf through Adobe Reader (which you can install on your computer for free via the internet)

100% of all proceeds will go directly to the Red Cross and their 2009 Victorian Bushfire Appeal.

The class fee is $5.00  however, if you would like to donate more money to the appeal, simply adjust the QUANTITY in your shopping basket as you proceed through checkout. For example: to donate $10 you would add “2″ of the Create to Recreate classes to your shopping basket. To donate $30 you would add “6″ of the classes to your shopping cart etc.

The event will run from now to the 30th of March- so you need to hurry to book your place!

so, do it today

if you have any questions, feel free to email me on  craftymatters@iprimus.com.au

finally, a HUUUUGE thankyou from me to Kim. Your enthusiasm for the project has been awesome, and i will be forever grateful for all the work you have done getting this from an idea to a reality!!
