April Show and Tell
April 5, 2008 at 1:21 am | In showcase | 2 CommentsThis month its a ‘free for all’
ive asked the girls to use something from their stash, maybe a favourite piece..here are the wonderful projects they have come up with…….
Firstly, miss Lou- she has created a 2008 mini book - a place to write a couple of things that happened each month, a pic or two, tickets or other events and just using up bits and pieces of stuff on the desk!
the cover has a scalloped plaque as part of the title and on the inside pages (so far) she has used a heart (on the Feb. page.)

Next is Miss Vita, with a gorgeously Floral layout- the featured Crafty Matters products are the bisque buttons
She has played with the stampin’ up stamps & watercolour crayons.
the ceramic buttons were also colored in with the watercolour crayons.
it looks distressed & faded. i just love the effect.
it has to be left as is though & not glazed, because once you glaze it, it becomes white.
somehow, the glaze eats the colours away. ……….. (any Stampin Up girls out there have the answer to that????)
And now Miss Mardi, with 2 beautiful layouts
the 1st one has a scalloped circle with a flower image stamped on to it, and a ‘Hugs’ word tile
and this cutie has Mardi’s wonderful signature flower, with a twist- a smilie emoticon face- love it.
Miss Charmane also loves those scalloped circles, and has used 2 on this layout
she has drawn small circles along the edge and then coloured them with red pen to match the rest of the layout, then glued the “i” so that it is part of the title. The other scallop she has added a splash of red paint, and once dry added the Bisque Love Heart Button - to give a layered embellishment!
The other is a Kindy Album she has just started for Chei’s First Day at Kindy- in Charmanes words - ‘because I took THAT many photos! ‘
Here is what she did (i love this idea!!)
‘I thought the OTP Ceramic Star was perfect for the front cover - so firstly I glued the Lace Cardstock over the top, then covered it in Dimensional Magic, to make sure it was stuck on there well. I then decided the Crafty Matters smiling star (which is from Crop For Kids) would be perfect to go over the top! ‘

okay, so im last for the day….
Ive plunged into the stash and used a few glazed stars for a layout about my wonderful nephews, and what stars they have been this week, in helping look after my kids!!
Finally, i would just like to add that (very) sadly Miss Katie is stepping down from the CMC team.
In the last 12months her Photography business has grown from strength to strength leaving her not that much time for scrapping.
soo, I just want to say THANKYOU Katie, for being such a great support to me, and for your fabulous layouts that we have enjoyed (and im hoping to rope you in every now and then as a guest CMC’er- hehehe…………..)
tfl everyone
