Kim Archer Workshops
November 16, 2007 at 10:42 am | In Uncategorized | Leave a CommentFor those of you who are participating in Kim’s Trimming the Tree workshop, you will have seen what she has created with my bisque dolls. (and if you havent you can read all about the classes here)
Ive been talking to Kim and we have some good news if you missed out on buying through her shop.
You will now be able to buy the bisque dolls (with the hole for hanging) through Crafty Matters, however as they are very labour intensive there will be a limited amount of stock for sale before Christmas.
PRICE: $2 each for the small dolls and $4 each for the large dolls- plus postage
Its on a first come, first served basis and there will be a two-three week wait.
good news is that they will be available next year too, as an ongoing product line.
please email me at craftymatters@iprimus.com.au to place your orders
cheers
Jane
ps my kids are also a little ‘labour intensive’ so please bear with me if I dont reply to emails straight away!
CHRISTMAS #5
November 10, 2007 at 12:27 pm | In showcase | 2 CommentsSo this is the final Crafty Matters Christmas Show and Tell
Before i get into it- i cant miss this opportunity to say CONGRATULATIONS to Kelly Ingram from Kiti Q and Kim Ogden from Scraptacular for being 2 of the 2008 Elite team with For Keeps magazine- I have met them because of Crafty Matters, and they are both wonderful scrappers, and gorgeous people – im really looking forward to the seeing their contributions as well as the other girls Janine Kaye and Nikala O’Brien.
If you can get to Scraptacular on the 1st of December they are having a Demo Day- you get to see how lots of the great scrapping tools work (like the cuttlebug, and Fiskars products) and im coming along too, if you would like to see how some of the Crafty Matters products work. We wont be doing a hands on demo- however, i will have lots of samples to show you the different techniques you can use. So say hi if youre coming along.
Also Kim Archer is having her Christmas Spectacular again this year. There are lots of projects to suit all the many people you want to give a special something to at Christmas time- i participated last year, and got some great ideas, and made lots of gifts that went down well with their recipients! Check it out here
So, lets get started- here is a layout I have (finally) created- i say finally because this photo has been printed out for almost 2 years! The Crafty Matters items on this page are the Squiggle Card tag (pressie) Santa ceramic word, and the 3 pressies in red- bisque shapes, painted, stamped and coated with dimension glaze for a nice glossy finish.
These gorgeous cards were created by Katie
this one has a Christmas Tree in Stone

This one, a word tile ‘celebrate’

and this one a red star
This next layout is from Lou she has scraplifted a beautiful layout by Keisha Campbell

A ceramic heart has been used very effectively as you can see in this close up.

Next is Vita- have a look at these cakeboxes – arent they great. The pattern is by Michelle Vass, and was taught at a recent Crop For Kids online class- if you love them too, you are able to get the pattern from the Crop For Kids blog, with the proceeds going to the Royal Childrens Hospital Appeal

The Crafty Matters product on these are the flowers and lime leaves- i just love these boxes!!

But wait, theres more!
How gorgeous is this framed layout from Mardi- inspired by Ali Edwards.
Please make sure you click on this image to see the closeup- Mardi has used a Christmas Tree, a word tile and a star in this one

and how about this little funky mini book- too cute- thats a Crafty Matters orange star up there on top!

And more Christmas card ideas- Lou has created this bright cards using rubons . She has applied the rubons onto the bisque, and then covered them with dimensional glaze. very effective
So thats it for the year- thanks to everyone who drops in to have a look, and the BIGGEST THANKYOU to my CMC girls.
Charm, Lou, Katie, Mardi and Vita- you have really made the products come to life AND made my job easier
cheers everyone
Jane
