week 4
October 26, 2007 at 8:49 pm | In showcase | Leave a Commentalready!
This week, my guest is Michelle Vass
Charmane has made some great cards, and i have put together a quick layout.
Here is Michelle’s fabulous layout
she has used the mini book kit, printing some of patterned papers to use as the backgrounds . The scallop frame is also part of the mini album kit.
she has also cut out the centre of the scallop frame element from the mini kit to frame the Christmas tree ceramic embellishment, which has been stamped with the swirls
And there are a number of elements from the Squiggle card that she has coloured using the Stampin Up crayons

and this is the card, featuring a bisque circle Michelle has stamped an image on to , coloured in, and then added a touch of bling (which very cleverly covers up the hole in the ceramic, as she didnt want to use it for this card)

Here are Charmane’s great christmas card ideas
using the mini kit download and a squiggle card element

This one has a ’santa’ word tile

more papers from the mini kit, and a bisque ’small square’

and another with the papers from the digi kit
heres my layout
just a quickie .
I have used a little bit of paper from the mini kit (the pink strip) ‘christmas means’ from the Squiggle card and a pink ceramic tree that Chloe kindy glitzed for me
so thats it for this week.
our next and final Show and tell for this year will be the 9th of November, so stay tuned.
And id like to send a quick ‘cheerio’ and best wishes to Sharon, who i saw into last night. Thanks for your lovely feedback, and all the best for the impending birth of bubba no. 1
WEEK 3
October 19, 2007 at 10:02 pm | In showcase | 1 Commentof the Crafty Matters Christmas Show and Tell- and this week, Jane’s little helpers are
Mardi
and (the one and only) Chloe Fitchett
thanks girls
First up
here is Mardi’s fab layout- its such an interesting layout- an insight to how lucky we are that people like Mardi are willing to miss out on part of their own Christmas to help others.
On the Crafty Matters front, Mardi has used the bisque ceramics with water colour pencil and sealer to make gifts at the bottom of the tree…..a glazed star at the top of the tree and squiggle card elements.
looks great!

Rueys fantastic layout is next, she has created a layout all about her love of Christmas decorations, and used a number of Crafty Matters products , including Squiggle card elements that have been coloured with the Stampin up crayons.

Ruey has used 7 gypsies textured rubbings on the ceramic christmas tree.

and a red ‘love’ heart (these are new and available for $2 each) Ruey used the heart to emphasise her love for the decorations ![]()

And Ruey has created this wonderful clear card. She painted the two small bisque pieces with the Stampin Up watercolour crayons and then turned them into pressies to put under the coloured crafty matters tree which she cut out
And here are my contributions.
After spending the week in bed with the flu, i needed some help, so i have scraplifted a fantastic layout from Kellie Crowe you can see here
For this layout I had ALOT of help from Chloe- she chose the colours to paint the bisque numbers, and she painted them herself ( i love the colour combos
)
The journal strip on no. 3 is from the manila Squiggle card – just cut into pieces, and places next to each other
and I also put together a quick mini book with the photos from last years photo shoot
Used the frame from the digi kit, A Christmas tree with a rubon (loved rueys idea so much)- and the large tag in the centre is from the Squiggle card- it holds a couple of extra photos that didnt fit in to the book.
(just FYI- the red covers- front and back- are leather look coasters i picked up from Target about 8 months ago- great for mini books)
Thats it for the week, enjoy!
see you next week

WEEK 2
October 12, 2007 at 10:06 pm | In showcase | Leave a Commentof the Crafty Matters Christmas Show and Tell month- and this weeks ‘elves’ helping me out are Katie, Charmane and Felicity
First up, some layouts- this one from Katie, using a word tile (on a large square) and a lime Christmas tree that she has decorated using one of her favourite techniques- acrylic paint applied with a toothpick- very effective!

Next is Felicity
Felicity is my special guest this week. Her little cutie pie Brodie features in this great layout, where quite a few Crafty Matters products have been put to good use.
The journal block from the Squiggle card has been coloured with Stampin Up crayons , a tree has had some extra bling added,
and a lge square bisque has been painted- doodled around the edges with a white pen, and then a silver rubon ‘joy’ added.
Charmane’s layout shows a different colour scheme from the traditional colours, and it looks amazing.

the layout features a purple tree with rhinestones added- and a chatterbox rubon (available at Bons
Two bisque squares have been inked as ‘pressies’, and Charm has printed out a page from our Digi Mini Kit as background (love how the ho ho ho- runs along the bottom)
Felicity also made a couple of cards with her goodies too-
This one uses an element from the white Christmas Squiggle card
and this card uses the manila Christmas squiggle card

and on the inside- more Squiggle Card elements, and a ceramic tree, heart and star!
what a great card!

How cute is this tag. Felicity has again used another element of the Christmas squiggles card, and added a Ceramic word ‘love’ . Love it! might have to pinch this idea for myself ![]()

this week, I have created 2 ornaments
The first one uses an old cd covered and decorated- each year i make one of these to hang on the Christmas tree with a pic from the photo shoot i do with the kids. Ive added a Ceramic bird (with wing) and a Dk Beige Christmas tree that i have stamped with white Staz-on ink.

And the other ornament is a small wreath that started life as a wire ring. I cut lots (LOTS!!) of little fabric strips and tied them around the ring, added a big gingham fabric bow at the top and attached 2 red Ceramic stars.
The Oval tag is a Large Bisque Oval that i have base painted gold- applyed a coat of Crackle medium- and when dried I applied a white top coat. i finished off by applying a rub-on’ (joy)

And thinking about wreaths- here is another i created last year
On this wreath there are 3 word tiles- merry christmas, joy and celebrate as well as a Christmas tree.
So that is the post for this week, I hope you have enjoyed looking at the girls creations as much as i have ![]()
see you all next week, and drop me a line if you would like to place an order
DONT FORGET THOSE CUT OFF DATES!! (see last weeks post)
cheers
Jane

thanks Lisa
